Introduction

These Terms & Conditions («Terms») govern your access to and use of the website and services of Yerevan Open, an international Latin dance festival held in Armenia (the «Festival»), including registration, participation, payments, and related activities.

By registering, purchasing a ticket or pass, or otherwise using the Festival services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

This information is provided in accordance with Armenian consumer protection law, which requires clear identification of the contracting entity and transparent terms for consumers.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register and purchase tickets or passes on your own.

Participants under 18 may register only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who must accept these Terms on their behalf. Additional rules on children’s personal data apply — see the Privacy Policy.

Festival Services and Description

The Festival may include, but is not limited to:

— workshops and masterclasses;

— social dances;

— performances and shows;

— competitions and related events.

The website and promotional materials describe the program, teachers, schedule, venues, and prices to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication.

The Organizer reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the program, teachers, schedule, or venues due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., illness, travel issues, force majeure), without constituting a breach of these Terms, provided that the core nature of the Festival is maintained.

Registration and Account

To register, you must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (if any) and for all activities under your account. The Organizer may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

Prices, Payment, and Taxes

All prices are displayed in the designated currency and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Additional fees (e.g., payment processing fees) will be clearly disclosed before payment.

Payment must be made in full by the deadline specified for each ticket or pass type. Failure to pay by the deadline may result in cancellation of the registration.

Distance Contracts and Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)

When you purchase a ticket or pass online, you enter into a distance contract under Armenian law. In accordance with Armenian consumer protection rules aligned with EU standards, you generally have a 14-calendar-day right of withdrawal from the date of concluding the contract, without giving a reason.

Exception for events on a specific date

Under Armenian law (in line with EU directives), the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for leisure or entertainment services to be provided on a specific date or within a specified period (such as festival passes, workshop tickets, or competition entries for fixed dates).

By purchasing such tickets, you acknowledge and agree that the statutory 14-day withdrawal right is excluded for these items.

For any other services not tied to a specific event date (if applicable), the 14-day withdrawal right may apply. To exercise it, contact us within 14 days of purchase with your order details. Refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable law.

Cancellations, Refunds, and Changes by Participant

Except where the 14-day withdrawal right applies (see above), ticket or pass fees are generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated for a specific ticket type.

The Organizer may, at its discretion, allow name changes for a pass (e.g., transferring to another dancer) subject to an administrative fee, or partial refunds or credit for future events in exceptional circumstances. Any such exceptions will be clearly described on the relevant ticket or product page or communicated in writing.

Cancellation or Modification by the Organizer

If the Festival is cancelled by the Organizer for reasons other than force majeure, registered participants will be offered a full refund of the ticket or pass price, or a credit or voucher for a future event of equivalent value.

If the Festival is postponed or materially changed (e.g., significant reduction of program), the Organizer will inform participants and offer a refund or alternative options as reasonably possible.

In cases of force majeure (including but not limited to natural disasters, war, epidemics, government restrictions, or other events beyond reasonable control), the Organizer’s liability is limited to refunding amounts actually received, without additional compensation, unless mandatory Armenian law provides otherwise.

Conduct and Safety

Participants must comply with all applicable laws of the Republic of Armenia and follow instructions from the Organizer, venue staff, and security.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

— harassment or discrimination;

— violence or aggressive physical contact;

— intoxication;

— illegal activities;

— any behaviour that endangers others or disrupts the Festival.

The Organizer reserves the right to refuse entry, remove, or ban any person who violates these rules, without refund, and to involve law enforcement where necessary.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Festival website (text, graphics, logos, images, videos, code, etc.) is owned by or licensed to the Organizer and protected by Armenian and international intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the website content without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.

Photography, Audio, and Video Recording

During the Festival, the Organizer and its partners may photograph, film, or record participants and attendees for promotional, archival, and media purposes.

By participating, you grant the Organizer a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use your image, voice, and performance in such materials worldwide, in line with Armenian law and the Festival’s Privacy Policy.

If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed in identifiable form, you may inform the media team on-site; however, in crowded public areas it may not be possible to guarantee complete exclusion.

Limitation of Liability

Participation in the Festival and use of the website are at your own risk.

To the extent permitted by Armenian law, the Organizer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or opportunities.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by the Organizer’s negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Armenian law.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your participation in the Festival shall be resolved through negotiations in good faith.

If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to the competent courts of Armenia, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Changes to These Terms

The Organizer may update these Terms from time to time. The version available on the website at the time of your registration or purchase applies to your participation. Material changes will be communicated via the website and/or email where reasonably practicable.
